Welcome to eflpublished: The new home for EFL coverage

In 2020, an offer we couldn't refuse came into our inbox and provided us with the opportunity to work part-time as social media content creators whilst we were still trying to get a foothold in the industry. This led to a wholesale change of our initial plan for eflpublished, but ensured we gained invaluable experience working in and around professionals on a day-to-day basis.

Then in August 2021 we restarted as eflpublished. After hours upon hours of hard work and new ideas, we began to realise that people enjoyed our content, and our Instagram page started to grow. What followed was our TikTok account and eventually our X account, along with a community of creators and followers around the EFL that we're proud to have built.

Almost 30,000 followers later, across all of our social media platforms, we're now a team of three like-minded university graduates who all have a passion not just to create content, but to live and breathe the EFL on a day-to-day basis. This brings us to our launch on CounterPress and the opportunity to bring our social media platforms to life with a curated blend of long and short-form content.

Lewis Waters is the co-founder and Social Media Manager for eflpublished. He has previous experience with TSR Football and Football Park, as well as a degree in Football Business and Media from the University Campus of Football Business.

Joel Colson is the co-founder and Head of Design for eflpublished. He has previous experience with Rising Ballers and Football League World, as well as a degree in Sports Journalism and Communications from the University of Derby.

Joel Grainger is the co-owner and Lead Editor for eflpublished. He has previous experience with Huddersfield Town podcast And He Takes That Chance, as well as a degree in Football Business and Marketing from the University Campus of Football Business.

CounterPress offers us the opportunity to create ad-free material for our audience, with an emphasis on editorial content from the outset.

It also gives us the chance to produce meaningful video and audio content further down the line, with options such as podcasts available to us. It also gives us the chance to create both free and subscription content for our followers, meaning there is something for everyone on our site.

Most importantly, CounterPress gives us a platform to learn from other like-minded professionals and the potential to collaborate with fellow creators. We're looking forward to creating the best EFL content we can and learning about our audience along the way.
