Huddersfield Town take to the top of the league as MK Dons make it three wins in four: League One Review

Reviewing the main talking points from weekend and midweek League One action, as Huddersfield Town top the table and Sheffield Wednesday falter.

Huddersfield Town are the league’s top dogs – pardon the pun – after a 2-1 victory at home against Wigan Athletic sent them to the summit. Stockport County securing just one point from their two games this week has allowed the Terriers to establish a two-point lead in England’s third tier.

As a passionate Huddersfield Town fan, of course I’m biased, but the numbers of late would support my case that we are currently the best team in the division. Town have four wins from the last five, the only blemish being a 2-2 home draw with Sheffield Wednesday, coming about in dramatic circumstances for the visitors. The pick of the bunch was a dominant 2-0 win at Home Park that knocked Plymouth Argyle off top spot. It was about as complete a performance as you’ll see at this level and was the catalyst for a nine-point week for the Terriers.
