In just over a week, on the 1st of September at 11pm, the transfer window will slam shut after another hectic transfer season across the EFL.
It'll be a chaotic finish too. The trickle-down from the Premier League is only just beginning after a delayed start following the extended World Cup. As the clubs in the Championship start to finalise their squads and decide which players they need and which players they don't, clubs in the leagues below can begin to fight over what's left behind.
The loan market will boom sooner rather than later, with plenty of clubs sitting tight, patiently waiting for sought-after players to become available.
