Bradford City opt for continuity as they hire Michael Duff to replace Graham Alexander

Bradford City appoint the former Wycombe Wanderers and Huddersfield Town boss as Michael Duff signs a three-year contract at Valley Parade. The Bantams have opted for continuity instead of going back to the drawing board.

Bradford City have confirmed Michael Duff as their new manager, with the 48-year-old signing a deal that runs until the end of the 2029-30 season.

The appointment comes eight days after Graham Alexander and assistant Chris Lucketti left Valley Parade for Preston North End. Alexander left the Bantams top of League One with five wins from their opening seven games, though a 1-1 draw at Reading under interim boss Mark Trueman has since let Plymouth Argyle, who have played a game more, nudge ahead on goal difference.

Duff will miss tonight's Jersey Mike's Trophy tie against Rotherham United while he serves a touchline ban picked up during his time at Wycombe Wanderers. His first game in charge comes at home to Leyton Orient on Saturday.
